Alpha Tools ESC-150 6" Electric Wet/Dry Stone Cutter - ESC-150
Alpha introduces a new electric stone cutter called the ESC-150, which is equipped with a powerful motor capable of cutting 1-1/4" (3cm) stone slabs in one pass. It is capable of miter cutting of 1-1/4" (3cm) materials with ease so that any stone fabricator can use it when miter cuts are required, without the time-consuming setup. The flexibility of the hose helps reduce operator fatigue and improves the operation. The Alpha ESC-150 has a built-in dust gate, making it dustless when connected to a HEPA vacuum. It can utilize a variety of consumables, including the Alpha Katana 6" for porcelain panels and slabs, Hot-Rod 4" for 1/4" steel rods, and 1/8" fiberglass rods. A Libero 5" blade is recommended for marble applications since most marble slabs are 3/4" (2cm) thick or less.

Maintenance Tips
- Run water before cutting starts: Always start water flow first to prevent dry start damage to the diamond blade.
- Flush water line daily: Run clean water through the system after use to remove slurry and prevent internal clogging.
- Inspect GFCI/power cable: Check for cuts, heat damage, or stiffness before every job for electrical safety.
- Clean blade guard immediately: Dried slurry buildup can reduce visibility and cutting accuracy.
- Check flange tightness: Loose blade flanges cause vibration, poor cuts, and premature bearing wear.
- Rotate blade direction check: Ensure blade is installed in correct rotation to avoid overheating and chipping.
- Avoid side pressure: Let the blade cut naturally—forcing sideways reduces motor life and causes blade glazing.
- Use correct feed speed: Slow, steady feed prevents micro-chipping on porcelain and engineered stone.
- Clean motor vents after each use: Prevent overheating from silica dust buildup inside airflow channels.
- Inspect water nozzle alignment: Misaligned spray reduces cooling efficiency and shortens blade life.
- Check carbon brushes (monthly use): Replace if sparking increases or motor feels weak.
